Virtuosity, intimacy and elegance come together in this recording by Kyunghee Kim-Sutre of works for solo harp by Jan Ladislav Dussek (1760-1812) and Sophia Corri Dussek (1775-1831). Composed while the husband and wife duo were stars in the competitive London music scene, this collection presents a variety of the kinds of works commonly performed by Mrs. Dussek. Sophia herself in fact composed many pieces previously attributed to her husband Jan, such as the tender Sonatinas c.160-165 and the Op.2 Sonatas.
